| about | The Danish University of Education is a research-intensive university. The vision for the university is to become an international leader in the field of education and a dynamic centre of research and education in pedagogy, learning and competence development. The realisation of this vision requires a clear research profile - one that is continuously developed and adjusted. It is committed to empirical research, surveys and documentation of educational practice with a view to shedding light on the effects of current educational policy. The Danish partner is the leader of the newly established Guidance Research Unit at the University, and takes a special interest in developing further its knowledge base. He is directly involved in the training/education of Master's and PhDs in guidance. In addition, the Guidance Research Unit is already involved in other, supplementary EU-funded projects such as the EQUAL project on 'Gender, Youth and Career' (2002-2004) and the Leonardo project on 'Workplace Guidance' (2002-2005). On the 1st of April 2007 there was an amalgamation between Aarhus University and the Danish University of Education. In conjunction with the amalgamation, the Danish University of Education has been incorporated into the University of Aarhus. |
| Role | The partner will contribute to and form the hub of Danish researchers and students of career guidance who will use this platform to develop new insight in guidance research, both on a national and a cross-national basis. Explicit dissemination role. |
