This publication is published by The Ministry of Education, Uddannelsesstyrelsen in Denmark. The goal with this contribution to the debate is to set a new agenda for the debate about the informal and non-formal learning possessed by the people of Denmark - and to set national developmental work in motion. It outlines why the recognition of prior learning is both a necessary and offensive agenda for Denmark. And it outlines the challenges and questions that the increased recognition of prior learning present for us
